Nice article, though there's a slight historical inaccuracy:
Blink raised the implementation quality bar with it’s tab-per-process design and privilege dropping.
These were Chrome features, not Blink features. Blink didn't even exist when they were developed.
They really belong to the layer between Blink and Chrome: the Chromium Content module, the API that projects like node-webkit and Electron consume.
