Or even if it were all in the brain, accurately modeling neurons and interactions of neurons, on bajillions of cudas and threadrippers, will probably still take much longer than it takes for the real-life system to do its thing:

Modeling the human brain is just one of the directions of the AI research, possibly not the most important one, even, at this point. On the other hand, the "super-intelligence" everyone is thinking about will be nothing like the human mind.
I have trouble believing that evolution has been that inefficient. That we can brutally outperform the human brain at 64-bit arithmetic--no surprise. But to accomplish the same with creativity and problem solving? Not holding my breath.
