Fwiw this happens to me on Chrome too, for pretty much every Google app (Drive is probably the worst offender, especially because it's functionally just a static page when I'm not using it!)
It’s not Gmail’s usage but FF’s usage.
If FF don’t like it they can fix that supposed security bug
