Purism seems to be rather inept, they shat the bed with their recent Librem One product launch, whereby they rebranded Tusky and disabled all moderation tools on their Mastodon instance, then were suprised when their employees started quiting due to this ridiculous behaviour.

Purism doesn't seem to want to invest in the software that makes their services work, hence the commentary by Matrix devs on which services are helping to push development forward (and thus deserve subscribers).
