Agree 100% with the maintainer, read some of the comments on /r/rust and on Github, I haven't seen a more rude sanctimonious community in my 12 years programming. Holy shit!

Check out their official channels. Anything on reddit is going to be toxic unless it is highly curated by the subreddit mods. That's just the reality of reddit.
