What’s the current state of alacritty? Does anyone use it as their main terminal application?
I tried it a few years ago but stopped using it for reasons I don’t exactly remember at this point, and I see that it’s still pre-1.0. Wondering what people think of it these days.
I've been using it as my only terminal for ~6mo on linux/x11, linux/wayland, and macOS. I picked it because it was fast, simple, and cross-platform. By those criteria I'm very happy with it, never experienced a bug or crash either.

I use(d) alacritty for years and it was completely usable.
Kitty is very slightly faster w.r.t. latency though, despite their benchmarks, so I use that now.
It had some good publicity in the last few month on HN. It's on my list to give it a go.
Alacritty is my current go-to terminal. I've been very happy with it.
I use it. Works pretty nice.
