I'm not convinced of my own position but I'd suggest there is a difference from an outcry sourced in people that are well informed of their complaint and the sort of brigading/bandwagoning you can see come from personal details being posted under a complaint.
I guess the question is what more is there to accomplish? They’ve been banned and I gurantee they already know the community is pissed. Is filling up their inbox with angry emails going to actually help in any way?
I am a user of the Linux kernel which a publicly funded university using my tax dollars just attempted to subvert in order to jerk themselves off over a research paper.
Unless you are an involved party you're just adding to the mob. The kernel maintainers said their piece there's no need for everyone to pile on.
