I wonder what the story is of why this is a fork of maps.me? How was maps.me taken away from the founders?
Maps.me was bought by another entity [0] and not everyone liked the changes.
The forks, like Maps and now OrganicMaps, still use the map packages hosted by Mapswithme though.
