I don't care the slightest about computer security as long as governments won't try to ask experts to write laws and security standards. Same goes for insurance companies, who should try to sell cyber insurance and lobby the government for security standards.
There are plenty security standards for many things that are not computers, yet cyber is a weird exception.
My understanding is both a liberal silicon valley state of mind, combined with the NSA benefiting from low security standards and having a monopoly on tech companies.
In my view, the computer security industry is too blame here, because they benefit from chaos and a lack of government intervention.
