In case anyone's wondering what Haggis tastes like - if you like pâté you will love Haggis. It gets is taste from liver, and it's bulk from oats. Like many good novel dishes it made palatable cheap food sources that were usually discarded, so don't ask what the rest is.
I really like haggis, but I have never learned to love mashed neeps (swede) the traditional accompany - give me mashed potatoes any time.
Traditionally you have both: haggis, neeps, and tatties (potatoes).
And even more traditionally, you have the whole with whiskey on top.
You could ruin your mashed potato by making clapshot :)

Haggis and Black Pudding are two of the things I miss from our journey through Scotland.
