I really agree with this. I would also like to stop observing the world through computer or phone screens.

I think there is something to be said (by someone willing to put more thought into it) regarding how much we as a society have churned away at computing and turned into something /refined/... Perhaps an analogy of what I'm thinking is people chewing coca leaves vs snorting cocaine? Maybe too extreme, or not extreme enough?

  • Something really changed when the Internet stopped being a physical place you had to go to (a computer, at a desk) and remain at to keep using it.

  • Maybe a slightly less extreme analogy would be highly processed food vs. traditional food... I feel like I'm just learning that white bread isn't really healthy and is nutritionally deficient after many years of vigorous consumption.
