I don’t like computers, I feel like we’ve lost ownership of our own software. Linux definitely helps with this and I’ve since transitioned.
It’s mobile devices that really bother me, I’ve since got my screen time down to 39m daily and I might just get rid of it and only use a pc for computer activities.
Small tangent, I’m a massive fan of e-ink, I’m waiting for the day where I can get a proper monitor as a reasonable price and use natural or backlighting when programming.

Me too. Kobo devices run Linux and are easy to hack. Perhaps they can spark some joy or provide you with a cheap prototype of what you want.
