I used to disagree with this browser-as-OS mentality, but seeing as it's sandboxed and supports webGL, wasm, WebRTC, etc. I find it pretty convienient (if I'm forced to run zoom for example, I can just keep it in the browser). Just as long as website/application vendors test their stuff across different browsers.
