That was a shame. There was a lot of hope for LSB, but in the end the execution flopped. I don't know if it would have been possible to make it succeed.

So this sort of bleeds in to the Init Wars, but there's a lot of back and forth about whether LSB flopped or was deliberately strangled by a particular player in the Linux ecosystem.
