I have studied math for a long time and when you reach the limits of asking a chain of why questions enough it’s basically - we started counting on our fingers (finger bones for the base 60 Babylonians out there) and just went from there.

I think the most important aspect of AI is laying bare how human actions are mostly arbitrary and lacking in a formal epistemology that isn’t simply an artifact of human biology
