If your leaders and religious figures keep asserting that the existence of the other is an existential threat, then this is what you'd expect. I don't think this is a problem that's unique to any particular race, religion or culture. Political and religious figures have been using differences from the conception of society to remain in power, it's an easy formula.
Yeah, that’s all true but it seems like the question is more along the lines of “does tech have a Zionism problem?”
To which I think the answer is “yes” in that there are zionists in tech for sure. Whether they’re disproportionately prevalent vs the general population I’m not sure. The West definitely has a Zionism problem in that media and elected officials are overwhelmingly Zionist and have been for generations at this point.
Will Israel not simply go back to Palestinian apartheid and illegal settlements ignoring international pressure, even if Hamas were to cease to exist tomorrow? This, of course, does not justify terrorism.
> Otherwise Israel has the right to destroy an organization waging war against it
Israel’s rights (or rather, the unilateral action they take) are up for debate, and only powered by the US and allies continuing to support them despite the transgressions mentioned above. Coexistence should not be this hard, but ideology is stubborn. All over a bunch of ancient stories.
Israel left the Gaza strip and spent a fortune removing the settlements. They were rewarded with ever more war. The key lesson is that the top priority of the Palestinians when given a state is to immediately vote for and focus on killing Jews.
Seems to me this industry has a serious Zionism problem, those replies are unbelievable.
