*Homomorphically encrypted. Be precise. Deliberately handwaving it away as "mere" encryption paints a worse picture than it actually is. Yes, possibly should have been opt-in, and a more human-friendly explanation of how it works would help. However, it's not nearly as bad as HN would have you believe.
