My wider point is that regardless of how 'real' the images are, someone's trying to get you to look at bullshit for profit reasons, either the platform's or their own, therefore it's all best ignored.
That's not really a useful answer. I'm looking for the motive, which (when it's something you're not directly looking for) is usually money.
