I think the folks who lost access to funds due to an implementation choice of Synapse would disagree with this statement.

They don't care about most implementation details, but choice of 3rd parties to manage functionality and data does matter to your users when it breaks. And it will.

Sure, the language and framework you choose are less important to them, per parent post. But it's a slippery slope; don't assume that they are agnostic to _all_ your technical choices.
