Thanks for this! I was also trying to do the same, what I ended up doing was making a mask and only apply the multiply/pow to things inside that mask, but the profile still messed up the colors of the remaining pixels. So I dimmed the parts not in the mask by taking away -30% saturation or so. But your result is much better, will try it.
