lol you're not wrong but it's more like 2-3 hours of setup in 2025. It's usually just a plugin in HA or HACS nowadays.
Nobody is using arduino's with HA anymore. You can order hardware that works out of the box for nearly everything. A wifi enabled light is dead simple.
All OP would have to do is order an RGB light that works with HA, plug it in, add it and then setup an automation. HA has made all this doable through the UI now, so no YAML unless you really want to. I have like 15 of these for my garden setup.
