Nicotine

Any study about nicotine should be taken with an extra grain of salt. There is always a chance something is financed by the tobacco industry.

I think it's dangerous to portray nicotine as a cognitive enhancer. Even when that portrayal includes extensive reports on the side effects.

Also, this makes no sense being in HN.

  • I agree, a massive grain of salt. I’m very tempted to use small doses of nicotine after working out or working on personal projects, as a habit forming tool, but even after reading all this I think I’m too scared to actually do it. Instead I bought caffeine pills.

Edit: suggestions for other habit forming tools welcome!
