Legalizing sports gambling in the US was a mistake.
On top of the social problems and etc, it's just such a bad vibe watching sports now. At least a truck commercial sells you a truck, maybe a bad choice to get a truck, but you get a truck. Sports gambling is all about selling you winning that over the long term is not happening and taking suckers for every penny they can get from them ...
Not just sporting events, sports discussion, almost every podcaster and streamer of every form is owned by some BS gambling org.
It's mind-boggling that leagues are allowed to partner with or take sponsorship/ad money with companies like Draftkings. I can't believe there's no legislation against it.

this has been an increasing and ongoing issue since MLB has ramped up their partnerships with sports betting.
