I love GrapheneOS. The only "issue" I had is that you are actually responsible for your own device, including taking backups.

Unfortunately my home server, which I was using for backups, was flooded and before I replaced it my phone died and I lost a lot of data...

you can always store encrypted backups to cloud storage

  • True, but unfortunately Proton Drive, which I use for "cloud" storage, does not supported the storage API that GrapheneOS' SeedVault supports for backups
