The part in the article that is frustrating is something I've already been fearing, that GitHub is moving towards more and more AI. It's unfortunate, but GitHub has all but completely given up on improving GitHub features that don't have anything to do with AI. No more features or even regressions are happening in the realm of quality of life and usability features. Issues are just ghost towns of people requesting, for years, very basic but enabling features, and GitHub employees are nowhere to be found on these issues. It doesn't appear that they do _any_ non-AI feature development anymore beyond just basic keep things affloat maintenance.
