I'm a solo consultant with some availability at the moment and looking to fill the time. Former startup CTO and full-stack developer, I've been doing systems programming for the last 18 months. Recently I've been working on a cryptography/security project for a scam prevention product with OpenSSL and FFI in Zig.

I'd love to do more systems work in Zig (or similar languages). I also have extensive experience with Laravel, React, and TypeScript, can conduct performance and security audits, and help with AI processes, training, and best practices. Looking for mostly short contracts but open to ad-hoc work or other interesting offers.

Recent project: audited a new Laravel application for a local company that was mostly vibe coded - reviewed for security, performance, tech debt, testing, and general architecture. Also completed cryptographic protocol implementation for fraud prevention and various Zig ecosystem contributions.
