As an Australian, I love that `Australia/Eucla` is there, with it's silly UTC+8.75.
Some of the other Australian entries are bizarre though - 'North' and 'South'? There is no standard timezone across the whole north or south of the country. And Broken Hill is in NSW, so why are they different time zones?
Poland is another backwards compatibility alias in the backward file; which you will notice is also in Debian's other package, as of Debian 13.
