same won't happen on russia or usa.
if musk "buys" trump's untruth network and merge it with the remains or xitter, and then all the others are blocked to "save the children" nobody will say anything. maybe, just maybe, there will be a stockholders lawsuit on meta for the value dropping to zero. but hardly anything else.
Users can stop using it. Good luck to the gov banning any and all sites. People will migrate to drcentralized networks or deep web areas.

And where do you migrate to, when laws also enforce centralized software distribution, locked down devices and a filtered internet? Pigeons? You realize, all these motions existing already today and could instantly manifest into law?
If laws were to enforce entralized distribution and somehow not be a 1A violation, I suppose I'd go to jail, because I'd sooner spend my time building from nand back to my own general computing device than comply. I simply would just be a criminal.
