Correct, but isn't the entire point of these glasses to make life easier.
Of course I would ask for permission, and I'm 99% sure they would say no, but what if I'm actually interviewing for the AR team ?
What better way to embrace the product than to use it ?

The manufacturer of a blender doesn't want you blending your tv remote or your hamster.
Just because you're using the product doesn't mean it's desired usage.
The tech demo is literally a guy trying to cook with these.
Presumably a chief could use AR in the future to cook better.
Why wouldn't a programer? And by extension, an interview should show how you'd behave at work.
Your right by the way, but what if the future is AR all the time ?
