Show HN: Solving the cluster 1 problem with vCluster standalone
5 days ago (vcluster.com)
vcluster is an open source tool for Kubernetes multi tenancy and over the years it has matured to have hosted controlplane virtual cluster, shared virtual clusters but the host cluster problem was always there. With vcluster standalone, you can now create the first cluster also with the same developer experience and consolidate the multiple vendor problem. With this, you can now use vcluster for entire multi tenancy spectrum. Feel free to discuss, happy to answer any questuons.
We would probably use it but no pricing visible and we don't work with companies without transparent pricing upfront before chatting with anyone. If there is this excuse 'depends on your case', then state the 5 most common cases and their pricing so we can estimate what ours would get to before contacting.
I found this https://www.vcluster.com/pricing and found out through this page that although I thought vCluster was open source (https://github.com/loft-sh/vcluster) the commercial tiers provide additional features.
There's also KCP https://www.kcp.io/ but I don't know what are the big differentiators.
But the pricing page needs to contact sales. Unless I am blind? I found some old info where the basic sub is 500 usd-ish.
