Avoiding ROCm means buying a new Nvidia GPU. Some people would like to keep using the hardware they already have.

Avoiding ROCm means buying a new Nvidia GPU. Some people would like to keep using the hardware they already have.
The cost to deal with rocm is > cost of a consumer nvidia gpu by orders of magnitude.
