Nice to see PHP getting some thoughtful design attention. The new look feels modern yet keeps its familiar vibe. Great community effort and a solid step forward for the PHP Foundation.
Huh. The winner looks adequate, I guess, but it also looks incredibly bland. If PHP wants it’s visual style to just sort of ‘fit in’ with other modern professional looks, then yeah, this follows suit - but it’s not exactly standing out or breaking the mold or anything, which feels like a bit of a shame to me.
(That figure-8 / mobius strip logo is kinda cool, but that’s not the designer’s work afaik)

The design looks like it was made in a day with v0, that’s why it feels soul-less. It uses typical Vercel-esque design language.
