There is a solution for Toy Story specifically -- the Laserdisc version. If I'm not mistaken, the laserdisc was digitized from the 35mm print.

Toy Story is the only Pixar movie ever released on Laserdisc (along with all their shorts, in the same box set). Disney also released a lot of their 90s animation on Laserdisc.

So if you're a true cinephile, seek out the Laserdisc versions.

It's a niggle in any other context, but for this thread it's worth highlighting that LaserDisc is not a digital video format, but rather analogue, and composite analogue at that. So it would be more accurate to say it was scanned rather than digitised.
