The key thing about thinking about a rich person is - ‘what’s in it for them?’ or ‘why would I do that?’.

They get asked for money, or have many opportunities to spend money every day. If they took all of them, they’d have no money left.

The last time this happened in the US, the deal (so called ‘new deal’) was let us tax you, and give it to the poor, or we destroy you.

If they can avoid being destroyed and ALSO not lose their wealth, what do you think they are doing to do?
