And just as important, we don't want people unable to understand things that aren't presented in one particular way. Something we're seeing with attention-grabbing short-format works that leave people unable to muster the energy to stick with something for 5 pages or an hour of video.

It's one thing to not be able to formulate a convincing argument without resorting to the 1-3-1 style. It's another thing entirely to not grasp an argument formatted in a different style.
