The important word being mammal. Ants outweigh all mammals and birds combined.

Feral pigs are an ecological disaster. They are smart enough to learn to avoid most direct methods of baited poison, they avoid behaviours which make hunting easier. they breet prolifically, and they destroy the landscape.

Yes, modern farming destroys the landscape. Feral animals are much, much worse.

Much worse than humans? Even ignoring the scale of their work, feral pigs are found mostly in the Americas and Australia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feral_pig)

  • No, in the scheme of things we're the worst. By far. Contextually we're also not going to stop but can chose to stop other things, and do so.

Perhaps my Australian bias showed. Feral pigs are comprehensively wrecking Australia, human wreckage not withstanding.
