Two classic books by Douglas R Hofstadter

    Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid

and

    Metamagical Themas

Both are heavy reads. But I would recommend looking at Wiki article before buying, available used. Just to make sure they fit your style of brain.
