Competing products are far more fungible. Different vehicles have different uses: some can allow you to go on a tour of Europe; some can help you move house; most can drop 3 kids at 3 different schools and then get you to work; some can let you moonlight as a taxi driver efficiently. All movies and TV do very similar things to your life: let you spend some time staring at a screen.
