Boycotts can be effective and important tools, but they aren't sufficient all by themselves. No tool is.

But they aren't. Weren't the same people boycotting like Starbucks and McDonalds recently over the kerfuffle with Israel? Last I checked neither of those gigantic companies reacted to that at all except for firing people and shutting down stores that were already underperforming, if that was the goal of the boycott then they nailed it.
I mean... companies downsizing because people aren't buying enough of their products is exactly the point of a boycott lol.
