He has PhD in Machine Learning from Oxford that means he is an expert in his domain already before taking up the job and that means he already knew the field in and out and the games that are played. A PhD student has lots of industry interface
That’s fair. You’re right that since we’re talking about the same area, the situation is different than in general.
