It seems clear to me that "the same class of engineer" is a fantasy by OP because it permits them to feel higher-status and look down upon this imaginary 'other' who is a hypocritical bozo, and self-unaware. To allow OP to mock a group of losers and get some upvotes for it.

OP will not admit such, so the best available thing is to call OP out, request details, and let the lack of details hang pointedly in the air for future readers.
