You understood what he said perfectly and chose to complain about a lack of formality for some reason; just like how you misspelled Scotsman lowercased and with two t's and I still understood what you said. It's also just how younger people have been communicating online for some time now, if that helps you inspect your belief that it's contrived or why you find it annoying.
