At one point I remember DDR2 ECC coating like $150-$180

Looking at it from that frame, it seems reasonable.

Everything is relative.

I thought 128MB of SDRAM was a good deal at $100.

I also thought $479 for 32GB of DDR4 was nuts back in 2016/2017.
