Do they? A luddite response is not necessarily participating in society. It could be argued Codeberg group made a choice to opt out of participating.

  • Unless you're willing to host vibe-coded projects, you're for sure opting out of society. It says so right on the second page of the social contract.

    On the other hand, stealing all intellectual works ever created without compensating the authors, building a plagiarism machine and then selling access to the stolen knowledge? Now that's participating in society.

    • And how do open models fit into that narrative?

      Say I am running Kimi K3 locally and commit security patches to Git. What now? Should Codeberg fork Git pre-2020 and keep the vulnerabilities?
