Over the weekends, I've been revamping an old side project of mine: https://quik.run/?ref=yc

It started as a simple platform for writing and sharing code snippets. Over time, it evolved into a way to run snippets instantly with support for imports and packages, without worrying about setup, deployment, or infrastructure. Think of it as a lightweight AWS Lambda for quick experiments.

One thing I've realized is that even though AI has made a lot of older developer tools and ideas feel less relevant, I keep coming back to quik.run. I still don't know exactly what shape the product will take, but I genuinely enjoy building it. Lately, I've also started sharing updates publicly so I can get feedback from the community instead of building everything in isolation.

One of the most unexpected moments came during the FIFA World Cup final. I tweeted a tiny snippet that displayed the live score and predicted the winning team, and somehow it went viral with 300k+ views.

P.S. I'm barely active on Twitter, and that was my first tweet after a really long time.

What made it even more special was that most of the audience wasn't technical. People from all over the world visited quik.run, ran the snippet, and explored the project. Seeing something I'd built reach people beyond the usual developer community was incredibly rewarding.

I'm excited to keep building quik.run. I don't know exactly where it's headed yet, but I enjoy working on it, and I'm looking forward to shaping it with feedback from the community.
