That's not super meaningful though. Just because a specific lifestyle doesn't affect every person doesn't mean it doesn't effect some people.

Like you could probably also say for every smoker with lung cancer there is a smoker who didn't develop lung cancer (since risk is only 15% so the majority dont). But smoking is still terrible for you.

> People with depression often have careers they care about and families they need to support. Even if leaving their lives behind worked, they wouldn't want to do that for the same reason you wouldn't.

Depends on what severity of depression we are talking, but there is a very real way that depressed people do leave their families and lives behind by the very nature of the disease.
