This doesn't set a good precedent unfortunately... Hello to that Google guy that just got tasked to do the same with Youtube.
I dread the day YT finally decides it is cost effective to embed ads directly in video stream. I think Twitch is/was experimenting with it.
I kind of hope it pushes people to use alternatives, because allowing your work to be violated by ads seems insane.
But probably not.
