My reply to that is usually “the inside of an oven is a dry heat too, it’s still incompatible with life” hah.

It would be compatible with life for longer though. A dry sauna can get to 80-100°C, steam rooms are "only" 40-50°C. And subjectively, I can bear it much longer in a typical dry sauna.
