There's still valuable info in your local newspaper even if their agenda is the opposite of yours. You just have to read between the lines and phone their bias.

But the biggest stories in your local community will of course be completely hushed many times.

You assume there is one. My 'local' covers high school sports, road construction, but none of the important issues that I need to care about to be an informed voter.

I need someone to be at the library board meeting, school board meeting, city counsel meeting... Some of these happen at the same time so I can't attend them all even if I didn't have other things not mentioned I'm doing then.
