How come Flock is not listed? That’s the most troubling company a16z has heavily invested on and supported.

Yeah strange how this article is almost entirely focused on consumer apps. These examples might be unhealthy for society, but mostly represent (poor) choices for consumers. Digital cigarettes.

Surveillance tech is the opposite: It represents freedom taken away. That is the more bleak future IMO.

Hard to say Flock is the worst... There's a lot of competition. I'll throw Toka into the ring.

  • Wow, that's an insane pairing. For those who don't click, Toka is a software company that specializes in hacking and altering security camera footage.

    • Quick google shows that they are based In Tel Aviv and Co-founded by former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak. No surprises there. Seems like every sketchy company comes out of there.

    • Edot, we have footage of you stealing a car at gunpoint, then you getting out and breakdancing while turning into an elephant. Any explanation or straight to jail?

    • It seems impossible for this to be a true statement. and yet.

What’s next? $20m series B in ByBy, a horizontally integrated trash disposal, concrete shoe manufacture, lye bath, and pig farm operation?
